Fear of the Dentist
Conquer your fear of the dentist
After years of dental neglect my son is no longer scared of going to the dentist. – Mrs CG, Camden
Clinical hypnotherapy – the proven treatment for fear of the Dentist
In order to understand the nature of your dental treatment phobia we will see you initially for a pre-treatment comprehensive assessment. At this session we will learn of the relevant history, social factors and other trigger points that may have caused the phobia in the first place and what factors maintain it.
We will then arrange a series of regular weekly therapy sessions using clinical hypnotherapy as the most effective treatment in resolving this phobia.
Why is clinical hypnotherapy successful in treating dental phobia?
Clinical hypnotherapy treats this phobia at a sub-conscious level where the irrational fear of dental treatment resides. Techniques include deep relaxation therapy, desensitisation and self-hypnosis as part of the overall treatment plan.
About the fear of the dentist

Some people do not like the thought of being out of control. Others find that the sounds and smells bring back memories of past bad experiences as a child.
