Fear of Heights
Conquer your fear of heights
When I go on a business trip now I am no longer worried about staying on the very top floors of hotels – I am so thankful to you – Mrs JF, Kensington
Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy – the treatment of choice
Before we treat your fear of heights we search for the underlying causes of your anxiety i.e. past traumas, family conditioning, negative events/experiences. Recovery commences with a pre-treatment comprehensive assessment that will allow us to have a full understanding a full understanding of your phobia.
We will use a combination of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and clinical hypnotherapy to weaken and then remove your irrational fears. Treatment typically requires 4 – 5 therapy sessions at regular weekly intervals.
Why is cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy successful in treating fear of heights?
CBH works on two distinct levels. CBT encourages you to recognise that your thoughts are irrational and that they directly influence your emotions, behaviours and physical symptoms. Clinical hypnotherapy will address your specific anxieties about heights at a sub-conscious level.
