Break the snoring habit
My snoring had kept my wife awake for years – thanks to your intervention by encouraging me to change my lifestyle and altering my sleeping position, my wife no longer has a disturbed night’s sleep. – Mr JP, East London.
Treat snoring with clinical hypnotherapy
Before we treat your snoring habit we need to understand the underlying causes or trigger points that activate this behaviour. We therefore begin with a pre-treatment comprehensive assessment.
Once we have established the factors that influence your snoring habit we will prepare a therapy programme of typically 5 – 6 hypnotherapy sessions at regular weekly intervals.
Why use clinical hypnotherapy to treat snoring?
Clinical hypnotherapy is directed towards helping you change position when sleeping. Direct suggestion therapy is the most appropriate protocol and if necessary hypnotherapy can be used to treat the patient’s partner using desensitisation techniques.
About snoring
Snoring is caused when we relax. As soon as we go to sleep our nasal airways loosen up. But for some people when they breathe during sleep their airways get so narrow that their nasal passages vibrate from the vocal cords to the roof of the mouth. The sound of snoring can be exacerbated by sleeping on your back, having a nasal obstruction, or being overweight.
