We will examine family issues, childhood memories, schooling, relationship problems, past traumas, depression, self image and confidence issues. We of course understand how debilitating this condition is and therefore we ensure that you are treated in a sympathetic, sensitive and caring manner in total confidence.
We will then prepare a therapy programme that will bring about your recovery to stop binge eating. Your treatment will be based upon cognitive behaviour hypnotherapy. These sessions will be at regular weekly intervals.
Why is cognitive behaviour hypnotherapy successful in treating binge eating?
CBH will encourage you to start thinking more positively about yourself, others and life in general. Consequently your thoughts will become healthier and more rational, your emotions will become positive, influencing your behaviours in order to regain healthy and natural eating habits. The clinical hypnotherapy element of your treatment will address deeper underlying issues that are lodged within your sub-conscious mind. Treatments will include ego strengthening, regaining control and addressing and resolving issues of shame, depression and guilt.
About Binge Eating
Binge eating disorder has only recently been diagnosed as a distinct condition. It is believed that many more people suffer from this condition than either anorexia or bulimia nervosa. Typical signs of binge eating are lack of control around food, feeling very self conscious when eating in front of others and then feeling ashamed, depressed or guilty after binging.
