Anxiety Disorders

All of us feel anxious at times.  We may worry about things that might happen.  We may have disturbed sleep, but people with an anxiety disorder have physical symptoms that interfere with their normal lives.   These problems may include restlessness, fatigue, concentration problems, stress and irritability.

People with an anxiety disorder generally worry about a variety of events, such as health, financial problems, rejection and performance, and they find it difficult to control their worry.   In severe cases people suffering from an anxiety disorder will feel that their worry is out of control and they will become unwell and perhaps need psychiatric support.
