Treatment methods at The Apex Practice

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a form of psychotherapy that emphasises the important role of how our thoughts are linked to our feelings and behaviours. This therapy introduces tools and techniques which you can use to build a more positive future.
Clinical Hypnotherapy
Clinical Hypnotherapy induces an altered state of consciousness, which allows communication with the sub-conscious. This powerful technique effects permanent changes to behaviours, habits and phobias.
Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT)
REBT is a psychotherapeutic treatment which is based on the premise that we are not disturbed by things and events, but by the personal view that we take of them.
EMDR – Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing
Treatment is based on bi-lateral stimulation – engaging the brain in two or more activities simultaneously – specifically used for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
